Diego Perez was born in Ecuador and immigrated to the United States as a child. He grew up in Boston and attended Wesleyan University. During a silent Vipassana meditation course in 2012, Perez saw the potential for real healing and liberation. The results of his meditation practice moved him to describe his experiences in writing, which has brought "Yung Pueblo" a following of millions of people around the world. Perez's penname means “young people” and is meant to convey that humanity is entering an era of remarkable growth and healing. In The Way Forward, the third and final installment of his poetic trilogy, Yung Pueblo expands upon favorite themes while guiding readers further, toward a life lived authentically, intuitively, and in harmony with others.
