<p>From December 3 - 19, 2019, Dolly Parton helped ring in the holiday season at the world premiere of <em>Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol</em>. Dolly even took part in a Colonial tradition and had her portrait taken on our grand staircase!</p>
<p>Based on both Parton's festive feel-good hit Smoky Mountain Christmas and the Yuletide classic A Christmas Carol, and with a book from David H. Bell, the story transports the action to the mountains of Tennessee, where mining company bigwig Ebenezer Scrooge reigns tyrannically. As in the original, Scrooge has a date set with destiny, meeting the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who hold a mirror up to his curmudgeonly ways.</p>
